Employees honoured 2022 at SCHMIDT Technology

Work anniversary ceremony 2022 at SCHMIDT Technology Employees honoured for 10, 25 and 40 years of service. After a two-year break, a joint long-service award ceremony was finally held again in the usual festive setting at SCHMIDT Technology. Also guests were District Administrator Mr. Sven Hinterseh, Mr. Hansjörg Staiger as representative of the mayor of the city of Sankt Georgen and Mr. Philipp Hilsenbek, representing the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg. The fact that SCHMIDT Technology has a loyal workforce is shown again this year with a total of 10 honoured employees. Mr Ralf Spitz was honoured for 40 years of service at SCHMIDT Technology. In addition to the company's certificate of honour, he received congratulations and a certificate of honour from the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. As a special award, he also received the certificate of honour of the state of Baden-Württemberg for 40 years of employment, personally signed by Minister President Winfried Kretschmann, handed over by District Administrator Sven Hinterseh. Three employees were congratulated on 25 years of proud service. As a souvenir and thank you, they all received an engraved wristwatch in addition to certificates from the company and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The employees with 25 years of service are Mr. Jens Otto, Mr. Viktor Krieger and Mr. Martin Dold. Mr Martin Imminger, Mr Thomas Ruf, Mr Markus Oberrauter, Mr Shkelqim Selmani, Mr Tobias Götz and Ms Natalie Mathis were honoured for 10 years of service. SCHMIDT Technology expressed its gratitude to all honoured employees for their loyal and faithful work over the many years. It is confident that the upcoming challenges will be overcome well together with all employees of the company.

Great interest at the BAM 2022 careers and training fair in Sankt Georgen in the Black Forest The SCHMIDT Technology information stand at the job and training fair (BAM) in St. Georgen aroused great interest among students and parents who were looking for an apprenticeship. Here, all those interested had the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the training with us and the individual professions. Trainer Heiko Abelmann and the trainees Tuba Sidan, Pirmin Kern and Adrian Wangler also showed some products from the writing instrument technology as well as pieces from the in-house training workshop. A special highlight was the compressed air steam engine designed and built by trainees, whose air consumption is controlled by a SCHMIDT® Flow sensor measured, the data via Bluetooth™ and displayed on a tablet.

2021 trainees start their careers at SCHMIDT Technology

Trainees start their careers at SCHMIDT Technology Seven young people started their training at SCHMIDT Technology on 1 September in five different apprenticeships, thus laying the foundation for their future careers. The school leavers are training to become industrial clerks, industrial mechanics, process mechanics, cutting machine operators and mechatronics engineers. Production Manager Ulrich Heck, Human Resources Manager Angelika Müller and the trainers Heiko Abelmann and Jörg Müller warmly welcomed the young newcomers and their parents to SCHMIDT Technology. They were given a detailed introduction to the company, products and in particular the SCHMIDT Technology training centre.  Freshly dressed, the serious side of life then began at the new place of work for the young professionals. SCHMIDT Technology currently employs industrial and commercial trainees. In the more than 80-year history of the company, the qualified training of skilled workers has always had a high priority. Even in economically weaker years, this philosophy was adhered to in order to offer young people in the region a career perspective and to develop its own skilled workers.

From the every day ballpoint pen to the luxurious limited edition: the SCHMIDT Technology company can be found across the board in all areas of writing instrument technology where reliability and quality are paramount. With the market launch of the Softline refill, the Black Forest think tank is logically expanding its "Generation Soft" portfolio. Presentation of innovations at the Motek 2021 machine fair was a complete success The first trade fair appearance of SCHMIDT Technology GmbH in a long time was a complete success. It took a bit of courage to stick to the planned trade fair participation at MOTEK from October 5 to 8 in Stuttgart despite the imponderables due to the Covid 19 pandemic, explains Managing Director Oliver Schmidt. With 15% more customer contacts than at MOTEK 2019, the pre-Covid result was even exceeded, which even the optimists at SCHMIDT Technology had not expected. The quality of the discussions was particularly outstanding, which the Sankt Georgen-based machine manufacturer attributes to the concrete project volume, i.e. the expected generated sales. One of the reasons for the flood of visitors was the large number of premieres that were presented this year. First and foremost is the flagship of the press range, the new, extended ServoPress series, which will in future consist of eight sizes. This has been intensively revised and will delight users with even more power and precision combined with unrivaled reliability. In line with the trend towards complete solutions, the company presented a wide range of safety concepts for individual workstations, all of which are certified in accordance with the new EC type examination. In order to be able to implement customer requirements even faster and more conveniently, SCHMIDT Technology has developed fundamentally rethought control systems which, with their modern operating concept and high flexibility, offer a level of intuitive operation that was visibly enjoyed by the visitors to the trade fair. Third place in the Handling Award As a further highlight, visitors were able to see the proverbial premiere of the new patented press technology in the field of hand lever presses. With its unique kinematics, the cam press combines the advantages of a toggle press with those of a rack and pinion press. Here, the machine builder had its sights set on users who have to operate presses day in and day out, "which can be quite hard on the bones," according to one of the development managers and inventors of the cam press, Andreas Meyer. "You get the same press result as with a conventional knuckle-joint press, with 70% less effort by the operator." The ergonomic concept also convinced the jury of the renowned trade medium "Industrial Production", which recognized SCHMIDT Technology as the winner of the Handling Award with the third place.
