LOUNGES 2023 – Cleanroom Processes The international industry event for cleanroom processes - LOUNGES 2023 - took place in Karlsruhe from 18 to 20 April 2023. SCHMIDT Technology was also present again as an exhibitor and was able to make new contacts and strengthen existing relationships. On three very well attended trade fair days, the SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor SS 20.715 LED was presented as a product innovation to the high-expert audience. The SS 20.715 LED is a flow sensor for monitoring laminar flow in cleanrooms, clean applications and processes. The main focus here is on the safe and energy-efficient operation of cleanrooms, as well as pharmaceutical production, filling and packaging systems. In addition to the new SS 20.715 LED, a cleanroom demonstrator was used to demonstrate the principle of overflow measurement from cleanroom to cleanroom and to show visitors the effects of opening doors and airlocks. For this cleanroom application, the SCHMIDT flow sensor SS 20.400 is used, which particularly stands out with its unique functionality of bi-directional measurement and thus ensures safe operation of the cleanroom day and night. Even in clean applications in explosive atmospheres, this sensor in ATEX design can be used safely. At LOUNGES 2023, visitors were once again able to listen to numerous specialist presentations, including one from SCHMIDT Technology on the topic of "Verification and Calibration of Flow Sensors". Here we were able to show the attentive expert audience the differences between verification or reference measurement and manufacturer calibration and go into more detail about the differences between factory calibration and DAkkS-accredited calibration. Looking back, LOUNGES 2023 was once again a great success.

Employees honoured 2022 at SCHMIDT Technology

Work anniversary ceremony 2022 at SCHMIDT Technology Employees honoured for 10, 25 and 40 years of service. After a two-year break, a joint long-service award ceremony was finally held again in the usual festive setting at SCHMIDT Technology. Also guests were District Administrator Mr. Sven Hinterseh, Mr. Hansjörg Staiger as representative of the mayor of the city of Sankt Georgen and Mr. Philipp Hilsenbek, representing the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg. The fact that SCHMIDT Technology has a loyal workforce is shown again this year with a total of 10 honoured employees. Mr Ralf Spitz was honoured for 40 years of service at SCHMIDT Technology. In addition to the company's certificate of honour, he received congratulations and a certificate of honour from the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce. As a special award, he also received the certificate of honour of the state of Baden-Württemberg for 40 years of employment, personally signed by Minister President Winfried Kretschmann, handed over by District Administrator Sven Hinterseh. Three employees were congratulated on 25 years of proud service. As a souvenir and thank you, they all received an engraved wristwatch in addition to certificates from the company and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The employees with 25 years of service are Mr. Jens Otto, Mr. Viktor Krieger and Mr. Martin Dold. Mr Martin Imminger, Mr Thomas Ruf, Mr Markus Oberrauter, Mr Shkelqim Selmani, Mr Tobias Götz and Ms Natalie Mathis were honoured for 10 years of service. SCHMIDT Technology expressed its gratitude to all honoured employees for their loyal and faithful work over the many years. It is confident that the upcoming challenges will be overcome well together with all employees of the company.

SCHMIDT® calibration laboratory – DAkkS-accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 the SCHMIDT Technology GmbH calibration laboratory has the accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018< by the Deutsche zugangsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) /strong> and thus has the competency , < strong>perform accredited calibrations for the flow rate measurement variable flow velocity of gases*. The already well-known very high level of work in our calibration laboratory has been confirmed by accreditation from the highest authority and rewards our efforts to always be one step ahead in the calibration of flow sensors for air and other gases. Our aspiration to offer our customers in a wide variety of industries outstanding flow sensors at the highest metrological level is underpinned by the DAkkS accreditation we have obtained and confirms our Know-how in flow measurement technology. Great interest at the BAM 2022 careers and training fair in Sankt Georgen in the Black Forest The SCHMIDT Technology information stand at the job and training fair (BAM) in St. Georgen aroused great interest among students and parents who were looking for an apprenticeship. Here, all those interested had the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the training with us and the individual professions. Trainer Heiko Abelmann and the trainees Tuba Sidan, Pirmin Kern and Adrian Wangler also showed some products from the writing instrument technology as well as pieces from the in-house training workshop. A special highlight was the compressed air steam engine designed and built by trainees, whose air consumption is controlled by a SCHMIDT® Flow sensor measured, the data via Bluetooth™ and displayed on a tablet.

2021 trainees start their careers at SCHMIDT Technology

Trainees start their careers at SCHMIDT Technology Seven young people started their training at SCHMIDT Technology on 1 September in five different apprenticeships, thus laying the foundation for their future careers. The school leavers are training to become industrial clerks, industrial mechanics, process mechanics, cutting machine operators and mechatronics engineers. Production Manager Ulrich Heck, Human Resources Manager Angelika Müller and the trainers Heiko Abelmann and Jörg Müller warmly welcomed the young newcomers and their parents to SCHMIDT Technology. They were given a detailed introduction to the company, products and in particular the SCHMIDT Technology training centre.  Freshly dressed, the serious side of life then began at the new place of work for the young professionals. SCHMIDT Technology currently employs industrial and commercial trainees. In the more than 80-year history of the company, the qualified training of skilled workers has always had a high priority. Even in economically weaker years, this philosophy was adhered to in order to offer young people in the region a career perspective and to develop its own skilled workers.
